    Unfortunately the TIME story doesn't say when the prototype was in testing, or why it was shelved.
    I'm gonna go ahead and guess that having the audio blaring out for all to hear was a MASSIVE deal-breaker... along with being unable to get Majel Barrett-Roddenberry to voice the device interface, of course!!

    I might be in a minority, but there are no circumstances I can imagine under which I'd wear a Google device like that, not least because it's Google.
