Was tempted by the 980 + keyboard.. if only it had been a better keyboard
Hope there isn't too much of a stampede over the 380 discounted by £3.60

I have yet to see a better price for the 4790K than the £228 I paid about 4 months ago.
Bit tempted by the 16gb RAM although I'm not sure I'll need 32gb ever before this rig's EOL.
Of course I'm perfect you just need to lower your expectations.
The EVGA PSU's seem like a great deal, it is always nice to have a spare one kicking around. If I looked sooner I would of grabbed the water cooled ti also
Awful sale, same as OCUK's. UK retailers really just do not get Black Friday.
OCUK's so called sale is worse than Scans though, I'll give Scan that at least.
Hexus should also clearly state if an article being posted is an advertisement.

I agree, I also think that the variety of components on offer is surprisingly good. OCUK have some great bit fenix deals also, I am slightly disappointed with monitor deals though.
Oh god, shouldn't have mentioned OCUK at all. Their shills will start flooding here too.
Their forum thread was a joke this morning, literally flooded with zero post shills saying how amazing the deals are, wow WOW WOWOWOWOWOWOW and the obligatory "omg so happy for haribo sweets, I look forward to them with each order" - they cost 10p a packet.
That and jumping all over the tons of people who were posting saying "what the hell is this it ? after all the hype and build up, this is your black Friday sale ? What ?"
"oh but we're close to a million revenue today"
"what ? Who bought any of that rubbish outside of the VERY FEW actual discounted items ? Did you really fool that many people ?"
"Yep ! Woo hoo, rolling in it, so many gullible idiots LOLLLOLOLOL"
As for what they should be putting on sale, an honest sale, well let me see, how about some stuff that people actually want with real proper discounts not 2% and even some stuff on there that wasn't even discounted at all. Scan actually had some of the same stuff OCUK were promoting as black Friday sale items for CHEAPER than OCUK when NOT on sale. That and not putting stuff up for sale that they only have 3 of, like the HTPC case they had up at the start of the sale with the included 7" tft screen, huge discount, great deal, all gone with an hour, no more to be seen and the rest of the sale is the rubbish left over with sham discounts.
If anybody needs a top notch 750w psu that EVGA Supernova G2 750w is a steal at £65!! You will not get anything nearly as good as that for around that price. It's built by Superflower and based on their own Leadex Gold platform but has no tacky led's and EVGA has given it a whopping 10 year warranty. EVGA also has a UK support centre opening in December so no more expensive postage for RMA's to munich.
Nothing for me in any deals though as the prices aren't cheap enough by the time I add on delivery. I used to get free shipping at OCUK, Scan and Aria due to forum activities but when all three switched to DPD I lost all free shipping and don't even get a next day service when I pay for shipping. Scan is the worst as they want £15 for shipping followed by £10.50 for OCUK and Aria so I mostly buy my components on Amazon these days.
Talking of OCUK's farce yesterday, that 8 pack X99 elite tier bundle they offered at £300 discount was a joke. Gibbo said that they valued their forum members so the first 20 would be for forum members only and include free Saturday delivery. Well so much for that as the first person to get the bundle joined up yesterday morning just to get that deal. I believe at the end of the deal there were four people that joined up just to get the deal and that will be the last we hear of them. What possible value does someone have who joins up to get the deal and is never heard from again. Of course those of us who pointed this out had our post's deleted. It's no different to the people who join up on here just to reply to the competitions. The vast majority give nothing to this forum and are only members to be able to take part in the competitions. If they all gave some input then maybe this place wouldn't be so dead.

Hexus has a long-standing relationship with Scan - forum members here getting free delivery.
I'm not going to agree that it's an "awful sale", I've seen worse - like the (to be unnamed) tech site who's decided to push those god-awful "e-cigarettes" as their Black Friday deal. Unless that's some kind of ironic statement of course...
Me, I'm quite tempted by the £67 off of the Haswell-E 5930K, £373 v's £441 (eBuyer normal price) sounds pretty good.
A sale is only of use if you were thinking about buying that item, or something similar anyway, in which case the sale price is a bonus!
I bought an SSD this week, as it was something I'd been contemplating anyway, so an extra £20 off was welcome, although I'd probably have bought it anyway in a couple of months.
Black Friday is as much about retailer bragging rights and boosting end of year profits for the balance sheet as anything else.
That said, I've just bought aanother SSD at a good price!

I more or less agree.
Though, something on a very heavy discount might tempt me IF it was something I'd like, but wouldn't like enough to pay standard price for.
Sadly, there's nothing much I'm looking to buy anyway where a modest discount might induce me to act now, and nothing I've seen on heavy discount that appeals enough even at heavy discounts.
I haven't spent much time looking, to be honest, but what I have seen strikes me as very ho-hum-whatever.
Dont expect that waranty to hold either - Scan pulls out of those quicker than a good catholic girl.
On what, the EVGA G2 750? Forget faffing around with Scan and go straight to EVGA. No being messed around then.
