I know it's not an old processor, but it sits on an old platform - why would a company launch their new line with decidedly last generation components? I'm sure the performance will still be great, but an equivalent Skylake part is available.
I love my 2013 Blade, I really do, but... would I buy another?
Probably not.
When everything works fine, it's hands down the best laptop on the market, IMO. But the moment you have to RMA, expect lengthy, slow email exchanges and a hefty bill.
The battery on my machine is pretty much dead (holds about half an hour of charge). Razer will refuse to sell you a replacement battery and they cannot be bought via 3rd party sellers. The only way to replace it is to send the entire machine to them, and pay $240 + parts + the outward shipping cost.
Next year I'll look around at the Aorus X3+ and other similar machines; or failing that, just get a Dell XPS13!
