I've had everyone except the first one. But this one looks the sexiest one ver.
JABULANI NONKE
Indeed.
End of the day the looks mean nothing to how it performs but still makes me want one. Damn marketing division lol.
Out of my price range sadly but ASUS ROG stuff is amazing.
Granted, it looks kind of nice, but isn't the use of plastic reaching an excessive level by now?
BTW, the only ROG board I've ever bought, the original Maximus Formula, is also the only board that has ever died on me. It's also the heaviest board I've ever owned. Perhaps I should sell it off for scrap metal? The copper on that board should make me a pretty penny.
YOU buy this board only to bind it with an intel CELERON processor???
I hope this one is much better than the Z97 Maximus 7 Formula, which in my case was the most unreliable motherboard I have ever had. I personally had 5 go faulty in a year and 2 were faulty on arrival.
Also and this is the most laughable part to me that Asus fit a chipset cooler on these motherboards and then state that they do not warrant the use of watercooling in any way, shape or form.
Sorry but my experience with the 7 Formula means I won't try one of these even though I do like some of the new features.
Does anyone know why they still keep putting sata express ports onto MB's?
I have been looking for mainstream drives with this, but nothing.
Example - Western Digital was talking about a 3.5" hybrid with 128GB SSD and a 4TB HDD using the sata express at the beginning of 2015. Still haven't seen it
Worst thing is that they combine M.2, sata express and now the new U.2 so you can only use one.
We need set-ups with more PCI-e lanes to cope with the increasing number of devices directly using them. Or am I wrong? Anyone comment on this?
