Are these Asetek units, or something Antec themselves have designed etc? If Asetek was involved then I'll steer clear on principle.
I'd be more impressed if they also stated that it was non-conductive, although five year warranty is pretty decent. If a leak should occur, Antec points out that the liquid in its coolers is safe, eco-friendly and anti-corrosive. Putting its warranty where its mouth is buyers get a five year warranty.
Shame that my next build is going to stay aircooled, and a Noctua NH-D15 arrived this morning.
Non-conductive is impossible if water is the base, but bad conductivity until a certain amount of dust gets into the liquid is possible. PCBs are usually coated, while connectors have a relatively high distance between pins. But if it gets under your CPU, you're 100% screwed
Wot's one of dem when they're at 'ome? I'd guess a steel shaft in a ceramic tube, or vice versa, but that wouldn't exactly be a useful change compared to other bearings.carbon metal crystalline ceramic axis
