This drive with this performance is aimed at people who value...well, value, over most things, and I can't picture a single person picking this over a drive that is £40 cheaper.

I find it very frustrating that the conclusions in many Hexus reviews often don't make subjective reviews compared to the competition, especially when giving a recommendation on whether to buy a product. Also, throughout this review, the Crucial drive gets beaten by the Hynix drive, which is not mentioned in the conclusion.
How can this recommendation possibly be made, when a Sandisk 960GB Ultra II is available from Scan for £183 right now?the 960GB BX200 offers reasonable value at the current £210 price point
Just because something else is extremely good value, it doesn't mean your original product isn't also good value

Come, come. A year ago I would never have believed I could pick up a 1Tb SSD of any sort for under £200 We need to appreciate the good times we currently live in and enjoy these bargains whilst we can History indicates it will not last.
My point is that I would prefer the conclusions of a review to say something along the lines of "this product is good, but product x and y offer better performance and/or value" if this is the case. A noob might read this review and think he should rush out and buy the BX200, but I would never recommend buying this when comparing cost and performance versus other options (like the Sandisk).
I want to know what item is best value and/or performance, because if I'm looking for a new SSD, I'm only going to buy one model... I don't care which drive is second best, even though it is still very good.Just because something else is extremely good value, it doesn't mean your original product isn't also good value
If a complete noob wants to buy something I have a 60GB vertex II with MLC - yes MLC - nand going for under £200I've also got a p4 2.8Ghz s478 but a noob probably couldn't afford it...

I had an OCZ fail,replacement was delivered swiftly with zero hassle,just good service.

The old issues only applied to the early SATA2 models. Designs like the Vertex4 and Vector were far better, and still compare very well today. As for support issues, OCZ's modern support structure is really good. Late last year I asked OCZ if they could replace a Vector 512GB I bought off eBay more than a year earlier, and without hesitation they said yes (they replaced it with a modern Vector 180 480GB).
What I don't like about Crucial is their lack of a decent SSD management tool, whereas OCZ's Toolbox (and the newer replacement) is good, especially being able to secure erase SSDs from within Windows (bugs me that Samsung doesn't offer this).
Good point, and as someone else mentioned, that model has been as low as 150 in recent weeks (was it ebuyer that did that over xmas?).
Also, if one does want quality, surely the 850 EVO 1TB for 240 makes more sense than the MX100.
Doesn't the Samsung magician software do this? I thought it did.
