Rather disappointed to see the cumulative updates idea being back-ported to updates for older version of Windows.

Re: Latest Windows 10 cumulative updates focus on fixes

I wonder if they will ever release an update, that fixes the issue with cumulative updates either getting stuck when downloading (if they download at all) and in some cases, repeatedly failing to install...

Windows mobile 10 - about time, although maybe if it works well unlike the 950/950xl launch release , then the wait maybe worth it.

Fixed additional security issues with Microsoft Edge

Here's a 100% fix for you MS, just remove the damn thing.
Found a lovely bug with it the other day, if you use Outlook web service then Edge will not allow you to make attatchments !
2min after installing firefox, worked fine. Muppets.

Re: Latest Windows 10 cumulative updates focus on fixes

This is causing huge issues for a lot of gamers with xboxone controllers.
I couldn't load into GTA V several times, game would crash during load and once in the keyboard doesn't work. If the controller wasn't plugged in it works fine.
If you unplug the controller after windows loads it causes a the mouse to lag and the speakers to beep each time the mouse moves, you can't reboot and have to hit reset.
Uninstalling this update or the previous KB3140743 fixes the issue.
It is caused by the new XInput driver.

Wow, finally confirmation of my problem!

I actually went back to my X360 controller because of this Once the problem happens (and turning the pad off triggers it immediately) Windows won't even reboot, you have to hard reset. Changing the XINPUT driver to HID compliant Device, stops the problem but then only the XBox button works on the pad :/

At least I know it's been recognised now

Re: Latest Windows 10 cumulative updates focus on fixes

Is this only over wired connections for the XB1 controller? I've got the wireless dongle and hoping it won't become an issue (sorry can't reddit at work..)

It still did it wireless i'm afraid, it doesn't cause this issue for everyone as my m8 has the same controller and he was playing fine.

I didn't try it wired, only wireless.

The problem happens regardless of game as well, I've had it happen multiple times while idling in windows or watching a video.

Re: Latest Windows 10 cumulative updates focus on fixes

I had this with my Saitek X52 pro until they update the drivers as they knew about the issue as well.

Anyway it seems I hit up the right microsoft support tech as Sherwin B sent me a personal email so I could supply the links for this to be posted up on the microsoft forums

maybe this will get a fix out faster!

Don't you just love it when people try clearly don't read a post..

The fix doesn't work, I wouldn't have said if I wouldn't have 1/ read the article 2/ tried install the update. Out of 5 builds on work machines, the update has worked on 1 of the 5, they are completely identical machines, all with the same base image / updates / drivers yet a number of the machines display similar problems, as with previous cumulative updates in that they either -

    1/ Don't download
2/ Download a % then pause and don't go any further
3/ Get to 100% and then sits and doesn't complete which therefore doesn't allow the update to be installed

    Nice try though
