    Re: Asus RoG Swift PG348Q

I pre-ordered one of these via Amazon when they became available. This was 2 weeks ago. Amazon has no inkling of when they will receive stock, and ASUS is on radio silence. No replies via telephone, Twitter, Facebook etc. Horrible display of customer service by ASUS. Only reason I haven't cancelled my order is because Amazon was good enough to give me $200 off the price, increased my Prime Membership by a month and upgraded my shipping to one day. It's been a nightmare so far.

Rather nice but im still holding out for a monitor that does free and gsync. I refuse to spend tat much on a monitor and be limited.

Great monitor, its a shame that many games released today still don't support the 21x9 aspect ratio. Without hacks like flawless widescreen or messing around with .ini files, 16x9 aspect ratio is the best you get.

That stand is plain ugly and that thick lip bottom bezel is just awful.

I can't see any reason why g-sync monitors shouldn't also be able to do free-sync other than stubbon-headedness on nVidia's part. One day they may relent and a software update enable it?

Looks pretty nice, although that goldish thingy is a bit weird. Hopefully I can get one with some discounts around the end of the year (x-mas sales etc.) combined with a GPU of the new architecture to be able to run games on relatively good settings.

Nice, but hell will freeze over before I'd pay more than £500 for a PC monitor.

    Re: Asus RoG Swift PG348Q

I skipped this thread thinking it'd be another uninteresting screen, but wow that thing looks lovely.

I'm not sold an that A/R for gaming, with the exception of maybe driving/flight sim. And something that's going to push a 980ti to the ragged edge even now makes me think it's really going to NEED that gsync as compensation when the next iteration of demanding titles land.

Price is steep, of course it is. When's the competition going up?
