If appearance matters then this would look great inside an all white case and maybe a Seasonic Snow PSU.

    There's a fan on the motherboard ?

There's been an option for a fan on most if not all Sabertooth boards. Where have you been hiding?

Yup the fan is the only off-put for me. Not used a mobo with a fan since back in the Athlon XP days where the south bridge had a fan. Worked fine for 2 years then died a death.
Easy enough to get a fan a screw it on as a replacement and work fine after that till I replaced the board (fan still working even then) but the chance of it failing is enough to put me off

Well it's the first time I've seen a mix of black and beige connectors on such a board

These are still great boards like there Gene boards. Good review guys and thanks.
It'll be a great board for a nice white case with modded wiring kit.

Having built a white themed PC let me tell you they don't stay white for very long.

    Re: Asus Z170S Sabertooth

I love the whole 'armoured' board look - Exposed circuitry just looks unfinished, IMO. This isn't the best-looking I've seen, though. If I do upgrade, likely I'll go for a more standard Z170 Sabertooth.

    Re: Asus Z170S Sabertooth

Honestly - this is the the motherboard I wanted before I built my White Skylake Rig: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/b/MrjcCJ.

However, I wanted the rig in time for Star Wars and Fallout 4, so I went the the ASUS Z170A and the build still looks epic as ####! But next time I upgrade - with new gen CPU etc I might wait for the white sabertooth edition
