Are any of you guys actually planning on buying this (and any inevitable DLC)?
errr no ... but i could see the appeal in vr ..
What does it matter now if men believe or no?
What is to come will come. And soon you too will stand aside,
To murmur in pity that my words were true
(Cassandra, in Agamemnon by Aeschylus)
To see the wizard one must look behind the curtain ....
Yes, I might, as I prefer to keep an open mind instead of being, "Ohh I don't like it so I'll assume that no-one else does and seek clarification for my point of view".
I loved the original but as with all things I won't be preordering and will wait for reviews.
Ooo someone's got the painters in.
This is the trouble with the Internet (and text), you can't hear the tone in which I was asking, which leads to Misinterpretation. In any case, no where did I mention my (OR ANY) 'point of view' lol. You've just ASSUMED my being negative. * sigh *
If you're interested excalibur1814, my point of view, like yours, is open (as I haven't actually played it). However, I probably won't buy it until it goes on sale, despite the fact that it looks good and I enjoyed its predecessor, mainly because of the overall cost (DLC) and therefore value for money. Muppet lol
Launch has been delayed until 7th June (US) and 9th June (Europe).
Sounds like an odd thing to ask to be honest, given that we don't know anything about the final product or the pricing (with or without DLC), or the pricing after any inevitable Steam sales or even appeaarance on a futue Humble Bundle.
And unintentional as it might have been, the way you phrased it did not sound neutral. Regardless of tone question of tone, it's the wording (the word "actually" implies some form of incredibility).
I would say that the little that is shown look promising, but did you actually expect a definite answer to your question at this stage
How were the previous Mirror's Edge on PC?

Be Careful on the Internet! I ran and tackled a drive by mining attack today. It's not designed to do anything than provide fake texts (say!)
Well the beta has closed now, the game is very similar to the original with very few bugs as far as I could see. I ran it on a 3750 @4.1 witha 7950 and 8gb RAM, it ran smoothly but was taxing the CPU and RAM pretty heavily. (CPU hit 100% several times.) Thanks to the system being WC it did cause me any temp issues but suspect any non WC system with similar specs is going to have to have all fans running flat out to keep it from oveheating.
For £59.99 I won't be pre-ordering as that seems a crazy price given that it will drop pretty soon.
I couldn't believe how "old school" it looked. Everything was a box, every edge was 90deg, the whole environment had no real depth to it and looked flat and featureless.
I will not be purchasing at any price
