I was about to get upset, having bought a K65 a couple of weeks ago, but then I saw it was the RGB variant only, so I'll live. Just.

I would love one of these but really couldn't justify £100+ on on of them.

    Are they really that good?

The usb pass through is a noteworthy addition! Makes it feature set better than the strafe

I got the K70RGB last year and love it! It was expensive, as most mechanical keyboards are, but the feel of the mechanical switches are bliss. The added expense, I guess, is for the brand and the (decent, to be fair) Corsair software for customising the lighting, which is pretty cool once you figure it all out

Corsair, CM Storm/Cooler Master called. They want their product name back.

Ok, ok, it's actually called Quick Fire Rapid, but that's pretty close to Rapidfire, if you ask me. Especially considering both are mechanical keyboard series.

Re: Corsair intros trio of RAPIDFIRE Cherry MX Speed keyboards

    What keyboard to get:
Cooler Master MasterKeys Pro S v Corsair K65 RGB RAPIDFIRE?

Kinda leaning towards the Cooleer Master, clean, simple, better quality - but corsair....

Why do you think the Cooler Master are cleaner or simpler? They have exactly the same number of keys, the only addition to the Corsair are a few very small media controls on the very top right, while the Cooler Master uses key combinations for the same thing. As for better quality.. both are using the same switches which is the key (hoho) bit, don't think there's any reason to judge quality between the brands as much different (and I would slightly prefer Corsair to be honest).

I have just bought the MasterKeys L and it doesn't immediately strike me as 'high quality' - some keys are quite bad actually in terms of uneven plastic or mould remains.

Re: Corsair intros trio of RAPIDFIRE Cherry MX Speed keyboards

I currently use a Logitech G15, but after much typing and playing the up-arrow is starting to fail and the lure of something mechanical is tempting. However I play a lot of MMPORPG and feel that Macro keys are a very useful feature to have.

The fact that these keys are not being used on the top of the range K95 makes me feel they are simply a gimmik and of no real practical use.

I've got an original K70 with Cherry-reds and no RGB.
Just a really nicely made thing, that looks and feels good - and will last forever.
