Yet Gabe HATED Windows 8 due to its supposed 'locked-in' nature. The cad.

You're going to have to explain the relevance of Gabes' Win8 opinion to this, I'm not seeing it.

Sorry still not seeing it... I mean that link summarised says "Gabe Newell hates using Windows 8", so... are the movies only available for windows 8 users or something? Where did they come into it apart from being a small portion of steam users?

There are 11 movies in the UK. The best is Return of the Living Dead 3.

Re: Steam users can now rent over 100 Lionsgate feature films

I was hooked the moment I saw that the "classic" "Leprechaun 4: Lost in Space" was available for 3.99€. Although I thought that was to own, not to rent.

Note: The above may contain subtle traces of sarcasm.

I'm just guessing so don't shoot me.

I think excalibur1814 was trying to draw a rather tenuous link between what Mr Newell said at the Casual Connect conference and Steam entering the film rental market along with the likes of Netflix and Amazon, although how we get from that to Microsoft putting all the pieces in place to *possibly* lock down Windows to only allow Windows store (UWP) programs to run in the future I'm not sure.
