yeah that's exactly what i thought, wouldn't buy a CPU or GPU at all right now, though, CPU because i suspect that if AMD's Zen is any good we'll be seeing Intel quickly putting out new, improved CPU, or lowering the price

So how do I upgrade the hardware to make to extend optimal life without busting the warrenty... and will it lock up so I have to call the FBI to unlock it?

And other than that for compact designs, we have consoles already for that and those steambox designs also seem to allow you to tamper with the hardware if it need a replacement/upgrade here or there.

It is not like it require rocket science to add some more or better RAM sticks or new GFX card.

For three grand I'd want bigger SSD primary storage (would 2x256GB have killed them?), a 1TB SSD instead of the nasty Hitachi and surely only including 16GB of 2133 RAM is just penny pinching. Not to mention that underclocked CPU. I quite like the form factor though - but I can't help thinking it would be better suited to non-gaming applications and markets. I just can't see gamers shelling out that much for a machine that misses the mark quite widely just for a novel design.

AMD Project Quantim is great design and something I would like to see on my desk. This kind of abuse of design are just wrong. Not to mention the higher price for "great look" !

I would prefer one GPU but more SSD storage, more RAM.

But I suppose some people will find this PC awesome.

Oh and yes, for me one of main advanteges of this designs should be that they are quite as they will be close to you. This one fails miserably.

I would take the Scan 3XS Nanu Carbon any time over this over priced trash canister. I would expect MSI to know better than this, but apparently not yet.

Wasn't there talk recently of modular motherboards, well here it is.
Getting away from the price and what it looks like, to me the problem with this is voiding the warranty.
If they set it so you could upgrade it, particularly in a modular fashion, this concept could have good potential.
Personally, I'd prefer to be able to open and see what can be upgraded.

So, when are we going to see i5's and GTX960M/965M in half the volume ? I certainly don't need SLI and high-end i7's but a smaller, more mainstream approach might tickle my fancy.
