Cool! Be right back - just going to ask the Missus if it's ok for me to spend £350 on a PC case...

Looks interesting, but way overpriced for what it offers.

    Rest in peace.

First rule of buying computer kit - never tell the mrs how much it actually costs...

    How much?!

Do me a mini-itx version for less than £100 and we'll talk...

£350? If people keep buying these things the price will keep on rising.

Re: Lian Li PC-09 dual compartment chassis announced

Given the pricing (and IMO, the appearance), is this aimed more at manufacturers/retailers etc. wishing to showcase their components within a working machine? The niche market there could justify the price. Otherwise, an individual wanting to show off their rig and make it look pretty could get a hella custom modded case done up for that price tag.

Re: Lian Li PC-09 dual compartment chassis announced

Yes £350 is expensive for a case, when you think you can get the majority of cases for around the £100 to £150 mark. But personally I think that for this case it is what I expected.
I have owned a Lian-Li case previously and the build quality was excellent.
Before condemning the case just for it's price, there are 2 things to consider This case is almost completely manufactured from aluminium (and Lian-Li use very good quality aluminium) and tempered glass, both of these are a lot more expensive that the sheet steel and acrylic that most cases are made from.
At the end of the day it is the same with everything ... you get what you pay for.
The components which we put inside our cases are usually very expensive and most of us spare no expense on these, I never understand why the 2 most overlooked components and the ones which usually a lot of people tend to get the cheapest possible are cases and power supplies.
I see nothing wrong with spending £350 on a nice looking good quality case to house the expensive parts I chose for my computer.

Especially when you consider for us enthusiasts that this will last for generations of builds.

A £350 case isn't for me (I've got a Fractal Design R5!), but I'm not going to scoff at those who do buy it.

I feel like I'd be spending £350 on someone's DIY project.
