Warranty, Performance and Support/Reliability are always top-notch with EVGA, I don't see myself buying any other brand for Nvidia GPU or PSU any time soon.
I'm still running a 980Ti FTW and it's been brilliant, if a little warm 'n loud (hoping a new cavernous case will help solve that one).
I'd certainly recommend installing the Precision software as you can set your fan profiles up so that your office doesn't sound like the runway of a busy airport and tweak the overclocks reasonably easily.
Depending on prices (and if an EVGA 1080Ti) lands anytime before xmas, I might be SLIing a couple of these as a new year treat.
Any news on the EVGA GTX 1070 Classified yet? Not sure if i should hold out for one of those or get the FTW edition.
The 980 NEEDS to be on each chart as that's very close to the 1070
This is the card I've been waiting for. Sadly a house move means it'll have to wait a bit longer for me.
Arguably a card for 4K too, if you don't mind turning down a setting or two. If you can get a decent price initially and then later on, you might be able to SLI 2 1070s for just over the price of a 1080 currently.

I'd *love* to see an article focused on 4K gaming, where instead of all the settings being turned up, the settings are chosen which get you to 60fps average. These benchmarks always have high MSAA settings, which is not only a card killer but isn't really needed that much for 4K.
An article showing how much you have to sacrifice to get 4K gaming I reckon would be of interest to a *lot* of people And even if not, I want it
These sort of benchmarks don't really help in deciding what card to get to power a 4K TV as they're more of a punishment suite

I had to use the EVGA warranty on my 980GTX FTW EVGA were top notch looked after me no hassle with their RMA Had a replacement all postage paid by them within a week
Anyone know if this is better than the MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X? I can't seem to find any comparisons online. Mostly looking for overclocking ability and noise. I've heard the MSI GTX 1070 is very quiet, even on full load which is a big plus for me.
Awesome, this generation is a high jump compared with the last generation , and the last generation jump if you have money enough just buy it.
Sounds like a great card.
I wish i got such a good chip in my 1070 FTW, but EVGA don't bin their FTW cards - they only test them to run with the small factory OC bump the FTW cards have as stock, those who fail the test is called the FTW DT.
My 1070 FTW is a potato it only goes to 2060 mhz anything more and it crashes, so i think EVGA sent Hexus a golden chip to review, as far from all FTW's can overclock, and my card seems to throttle itself at only 60*c and it takes 30-50 mhz of the OC so i'm only running 2012-2025 mhz on average, and others with 1070's claim 2130 mhz... And for some reason my card only runs 2060 mhz clocks with it is below 50*c.
Also the card comes with 2 BIOS's Master and Slave; Master gives fanstop and 112% power and Slave gives 122% power and fans keep running.
I got a good deal on this card, but i kinda regret buying my card as it is such a poor overclocker, but 2560x1440 at ultra details look fantastic.
I used to hate "ftw"...until I actually bought one and just fell in love. The noise, the performance, the software...haven't bought anything else, since.
