Having had a Nexus 7 2012 then a Hudl 2 and a Shield K1, the 7-inch tablets just seems too small now.
Looks nicely built though. Wonder if it'll be 1080p or higher?
More interesting are the rumors that Googles next devices such as this possible unit will be increasingly closed source, Google is moving away from the open source android project.
It has good reasons too and the vast majority will not care but certainly there are those still clinging to the AOSP and they are going to be in for a shock.

Agreed. 8 inch should probably be the size for smaller-end tablets in my opinion. There's no point having a 7" tablet when my phone is 5.5" (Nexus 6P, so this is likely to be targetted at people like me).
I can actually get my Shield K1 in most of my jean's pockets - if it can fit in a pocket it isn't a tablet.
The Huawei 6P is awesome though. Even on the silver one the black strip on the back doesn't look out of place in person, though it is odd in pictures. Awkwardness when picking it up from a flat surface (combination of thinness and button placement I think) and battery life are the only minor criticisms I have, and even the battery is OK and good when you consider the width of the phone (if you ignore that visor).
