Still annoyed that nVidia didn't ASK ME if I'd like Vulkan installed.
I wouldn't really describe starcitizen as using it anymore. They've stripped so much of the engine out now they rebranded it starengine and stopped taking updates a while ago as they became impossible to merge...

I took little notice in what the driver was called and installed using custom. Vulkan was not listed in the installer options. Can anyone actually see where I'm coming from or is it a 'jump on that guy' thread?
P.s. I don't install PhysX. I also do not use OpenGL unless I have to do so. Was the first Vulkan driver MARKED Vulkan ready? I don't think so even if it is now. Next.
Its just that you cant be annoyed at a driver for installing something that was listed in the release notes. You can be annoyed if say it crashed you computer but I still don't see the issue you are bringing up. Especially when (correct me if I am wrong) you have the ability to uninstall it.
I don't think we can see where you are coming from. Your graphics card got a free new feature, which even on a really expensive SSD only consumed pence worth of drive space and if the DLL never gets used and hence loaded into memory then nothing else.
Now it is a free country and I would defend your right to install what you want on your own PC with some gusto, but that isn't the same as thinking what you are doing is logical. The driver was written to be installed in a certain way, and I always find with Windows if you go even slightly off the beaten track of the masses everything starts to fall apart. So install the driver, take the defaults, cross your fingers.
I can assure you though that last time I installed the AMD driver I noticed in the custom install a Vulkan tick box, as I remember wondering who the heck would tick that In case you were wondering, I was avoiding installing the "AMD Experience" app, that isn't really a driver component and just serves to actively annoy me.
