Hopefully they project the right quantities after a recent (post Note7) survey found 40% of sammy owners won't be buying another samsung mobile.....

Luckily Android will run on a any piece of crap up to top hardware, giving Samsung owners a huge choice of alternative providers.
BTW iPhone 7 comes with an lightning to headphone adapter included in the box, so you can use your existing headphones, obviously it is a problem if you want to charge and listen to music at the same time, but if you have a iPhone 7 the cost of a bluetooth headset is unlikely to be an issue.
All valid points... but I still reckon that 40% is way higher than the actual number who will defect

I'll take the 40% lower power consumption over the performance any day.
AIUI the cpu already takes way less power than the screen in a modern laptop, so 40% less power on the CPU won't get you 40% more battery life.
These are always best case figures though, Intel and AMD are no better. You might squeeze 27% more performance out of a 15W SoC, or get the same performance as an old 15W SoC but now at 9W.
It never seems to translate to anything useful at the top end for desktop devices.
