Sales dropped 30% in China because of the state of the economy there "which is totally fine" if you believe the state media (lol) but the other part is for some Chinese brands the race to the bottom is a dead end are now targeting Apple at the high end.

I think there is definitely a degree of fatigue as well in general with all Apple products, there's almost no reason at all to buy a new iPad these days.

I don't think Samsung's woes are Apple's fortunes either, Samsung owners were people heavily invested in Google ecosystem, they arent going to jump ship to Apple.

Its all relative though - Apple is still making mega profits which have tended to be increasing YoY. That is good going for nearly 15 years in the face of a shrinking PC market and a stagnating phone and tablet market and the financial crisis in 2008.

Apple are masters of giving you the bare minimum they can for the maximum profit. Small incremental updates. I'm not saying other companies do it too but Apple have got it mastered

We can debate many things, one thing we cannot debate however, is that Apple are NOT losing money. They are just making less profit from less sales.

The bits worth discuss are the dropping in net profit and return on capital employed. They are ones to watch in the coming years.

Apple are a marmite company. I have no time for them but know plenty of people who do. My issue is I know how they screw over companies for their own means and use the lowest hardware specs they can get away with for maximum profits. If you'd ever tried to deal with Apple at a hardware level they are the worst company I know

What creativity? Fruit tarts are finally (albeit terribly slowly) wising up to what the rest of the world has known. Crap products with price-gouging tactics can only fool so many for so long.
