Oh, worth it for Directory Opus alone, been a happy user since the Amiga days!
In fact, you can pay the $1 and then upgrade to the Pro version for about £25 through their website.

I was tempted by the top tier, but at least for Acronis TrueImage the subscription models means that the program as such will cease to function after the year is up. Unless the subscription is renewned, of course. I had previously thought/hoped that this would only affect the online storage.
Nice package but the 1 year trials for all but one of the BTA packages reduces the value somewhat... Might get the basic though?
Agreed. DOPUS is brilliant, though not being an Amiga user I can't say I'm a life-long fan. I've been using the Pro version (as it has become) for a good 8 or so years and it's damn poor when you have to go back to a plain Explorer PC.
It's expensive usually, but damn do I get my money's worth.
Its just how Acronis work their cloud backup solution, its been like that ever since they launched it.
I managed to accidentally buy it one year because I didnt read carefully enough, I actually just wanted the offline TrueImage, sold as a completely different yet similarly named package.
Thanks for clarifying. I've actually bought/upgraded several editions of TrueImage, but it's always been the "offline" version, so I've never really considered the implications of the subscription version. Upon seeing the LifeHacker bundle I just thought this could be a cheapish way to upgrade to the latest version.
No real use for most of it, but that Fences thing is WICKED!!!
I'm very picky about my desktop and despise icon-heavy, cluttered setups. I tried using the MS QuickStart toolbar once, but it was naff. This thing lets me do everything I always wanted, with bags of customisation options - Well worth the very reasonable price!!
Fences in also a great program . Very nice deal/bundle !
