Maybe Nvidia's 'something big' refers to the long-awaited 1080Ti

Could be, but then they have got so many fingers in pies at the minute it could be anything.

Naturally the Ti will make an appearance in the next three months though.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

It's more likely to be something related to their autonomous driving technology unless both companies are pretty confident that the 1080Ti and top end Vega will trade blows, otherwise there would be a pretty good risk that one of them would end up embarrassed and so they would have released earlier.

Even then Nvidia's focuses are going away from gaming so it's still likely to be unrelated to gaming.

They don't need to trade blows, the 1080ti will be so expensive that it may as well not exist for anyone who isn't an oil sheik. What matters is performance at a level that people can actually afford, and nvidia have already shown their hand at that (with the soon-to-be price cut 1080)

Yes, I suspect Vega cards will be in the £300-£500 range as AMD will actually want people to buy them, although I doubt I will buy a £500 card personally.. £400 tops for me I think.

So around half the price of the rumored 1080Ti then.

Anyone thinking that Vega will challenge the 1080Ti and be half the price is dreaming.

Seeing as we know very little about both Vega and the 1080Ti isn't that rather presumptuous, while Vega may not compete with a 1080Ti it seems, based on leaks, that it's comparable with a 1080 (non-TI). I've not looked into the 1080Ti so IDK what information's out there about it or how much fast than the standard 1080 it maybe.

I'd imagine that it will compete with a 1080 and that it will be priced only slightly cheaper than a 1080.
