The article says "We don't have information about a number of key specs that are usually of interest such as; maximum refresh rates...", but the refresh rate is listed in the specs (Optimum resolution: 3840 x 2160 @ 60Hz)- did you overlook that, or am I missing something?
That is quoted as "Optimum resolution", so it may well offer higher refresh rates than 60Hz.
I'm struggling to understand what the bottom photo is? Why is the stand on the left of the monitor, and somehow the Philips logo has been moved at the bottom of the monitor, or is that a different monitor altogether?
I look stupid now. Oh well, the truth hurts sometimes.

OK does this mean that I can:
1. Use it as four individual 1080P monitors in Windows for normal day to day use, and;
2. When I want to play a game at 4K the monitor will then switch to a single monitor.
Currently I run 3x 27s but game mostly on just the middle one.
If it can do the switching automatically without Windows blowing up every time it changes then this sounds like a nice idea, just not sure about the curved bit.
"with an RRP of £589."
let's face it, that ain't bad
This has been on the cards since last August, hope they really are launching it now... cheap(ish) price but mediocre specs at this stage IMHO.

Curvature is 3000R according to official site: http://www.philips.co.uk/c-p/BDM4037...specifications
60Hz confirmed. 8 bit panel.
Most importantly, it has a VGA input

I wanted that a year ago, i bought the flat 40" 4k from philips then, not sure if i buy it anymore ;(
I do wish someone would produce a decent 40" flat that I could use to replace my power hungry and noisy Samsung 400MX-3....
I wonder will response time will be close to the high end monitors or mid range TVs... Never owned a display from Philips, but I have a headphones, lol and they are good, so will see.
i am looking at this monitor but reviews on @amazon says suffers bad ghosting anyone own one can confim?
The price worries me tbh. Would have guessed north of a grand at first.
