    Who ever designed them bezel less sides should try to use their design. I don't get how edge users use their phone, when even my standard s7 keeps doing random things because side of my palm keeps touching the screen by accident when im tapping away with thumb. Dumb design.

    Yeah, my heart sank with this as well. I bought the S6 after trying the Edge and feeling like I had less usable space on the screen. Like you, I'd rather have some bezel around a screen because of those annoying times that the hand holding the phone accidentally causes an input detection, even with the standard model.

    "Dumb design"

    But this is what people asked for. No bezel. You hear and read it over and over again which, honestly, makes me believe that people just repeat what one or two people have written.

    Me personally, I love my S6 Edge. Contract finishes soon and I will stick with this phone as I now refuse to pay for stupid overpriced contracts.

    Going sim-free and will no longer buy into these 'NEW & MUST have' phones.

    Must be the age...

    Re: Samsung Galaxy S8 leaks coming thick and fast

    The news agency has been told by a person familiar with the matter that "the battery was the main reason," the Note7 smartphones caught fire or exploded.

    <sarcasm>
    Wow, now that is a revelation
    </sarcasm>

    However, if the battery was the main reason, does that mean there were other causes as well?

    Re: Samsung Galaxy S8 leaks coming thick and fast

    Losing the headphone jack & physical buttons is an annoyance I'd rather not deal with - my note 2 doesn't look like it'll last till the S9, I'd better start looking for another replacement.

    I don't have that issue because those phones are way too big for my hands for single handed use. I want a phone under 5" (ideally closer to 4") for single hand use (I've got very small hands), but if I am stuck with having to use two hands anyway, no/little bezel isn't an issue. Price on the other hand is, which is the main reason I opted for S7 vanilla.
    (Side note: The S7 Vanilla was never released in Japan - the option was either Edge or something else altogether)

    I know you've got an S7 now so this might be useless info but I've found my Z5 compact to be a great little phone, and cheaper than the S7 too IIRC

    If it forces samsung pay on you then samsung is not even a consideration anymore. Most annoying bloatware out there. Edge only, only makes it worse.

    Interesting reading, effectively four manufacturing defects that weren't picked up by the battery mfr or (not unreasonably) by Samsung apart from maybe battery A which seems to have been too big for the space allocated for it.

    Hope the results are examined by ALL manufacturers using these thin pouch style LiIon batteries.
