Wow! So roughly 10 years after people start asking for a basic feature it will appear.

One thing that would be nice is the ability to view chat history more than the last 5 comments within the desktop client. The Phone app has it so it is stored on their servers, don't understand why the desktop client can't pull it down.

I've been slowly moving to discord because of this, amongst other reasons.

Useful for those who want to be able to move frequently played titles to SSD from a HDD, I'd of thought. Controller configurator is hopefully quick and easy to use.

What I would like is for Steam to tell me which Workshop files have been updated instead of just listing that one has been updated.

VOIP & txt chat, it connects to your Steam contacts (if you allow it) making it easy to add contacts.
The chat portion has the ability to play youtube videos, send small files & includes decent smilies that you dont have to earn by playing a game or buy.
It has superior voice to steam everyone is clearer and much less of a delay. Which is a problem in gaming!

It is still in beta, and as such the overlay doesn't work well at all right now, but its encouraging. The only thing it needs now is the ability to launch steam games then I wouldn't engage with the Steam App at all. For such a big company the Steam app feels 10 years out of date and lacking basic features found else where.

Ah ok, I thought you meant it was replacing the game library function of Steam for you. I still think the way the store and community (basically anything where Steam is little more than a glorified web browser) is still irritatingly slow. The lack of any caching resulting in the need to reload everything all the time and the glacial pace at which this happens is almost silly given Steam is a massive online near-monopoly. I don't know if it's the browser they use or the servers but it is a poor showing. And no point complaining to their customer service, because that's even worse.

It's nice to see Steam added a UI function for moving folders. I've done it for years the 'hard' way.

What they need next is a mass validation of games instead of making me use a vb script.
