I didn't quite realize at the time just how good value for money my cheetah 9051H fully RGB keyboard (with options to sync it to music) would be at only £25-£35 back in 2009... Still using it now.

Jesus, and I thought I was pushing the boat out with £80 for my K75!

The exclusion of a USB3.0 is horrific. Why, just why?

Re: Corsair Gaming K95 RGB Platinum

These kinds of keyboards look more like those gambling machines you see at pubs and airports every day. All flashing lights, arrays of buttons that you don't know what to do with and a price tag that makes no financial sense. Mesmerising.

Certainly a nice keyboard, but I think the most I would stretch to is the K55:

£50 tops for me in other words.

The only problem with that keyboard is the lack of mechanical keys, I wouldn't go back to anything else now that I've used my K75 for a while. I just wish I'd spent the extra £20 and got the RGB version, in hindsight, it would've been nice to have the option; especially having the VOID RGB headset and M65 Pro RGB mouse. They can all sync up through the drivers and look AWESOME!

No USB 3 at this price is a complete joke.

I hate my K70 RGB with a passion.

The lights make it harder to read the keys (being a touch typist only goes so far with the less regularly used keys) and offer no real justifiable benefit beyond looking pretty, in a gaming tacky sort of way.

I brought it into work (a school) in an attempt to force myself to like the mechanical aspect of it (which isn't too bad, but I still prefer my old Logitech Illuminated Keyboard K740), and the only positive aspect of the lights is from the younger kids with comments such as "woah, I like your keyboard!".

I know I say this every time... But still no sleep button on the keyboard, I don't get it... I would use that a billion times more than a forward / re-wind button

That is one Expensive Keyboard! I love mechanical keyboards once you've used one its hard to go back.
I'm after a new RGB Keyboard but haven't decided which one to get.
anyone know the difference between Corsiar K70 RGB LUX and Normal RGB K70 ?

SciFi - you could bind one of the optional keys to that. For example, I use an older (but cosmetically similar) Corsair keyboard, which had 18 (!) optional keys, but no dedicated buttons for various things. I tend to like quick access to calculator or notepad when working, and other keyboards had keys for those. I just mapped the optional keys accordingly. Fiddly, I grant you, but it works.

Re: Corsair Gaming K95 RGB Platinum

Got the K70 that just has red illumination - and never use the illumination - in a lit room there is no point and in a dark room I find the minimum illumination far to bright.
But have to say the mechanical keys ( Cherry brown in this case) are far better than cheep keyboards so well worth having.
( Only nicer keyboard I have used was a silicon graphics keyboard that used hall-effect switches - cheapest hall-effect I can find for a PC is over 1K so may be not for home used !)

Re: Corsair Gaming K95 RGB Platinum

Since these keyboards at this price tag only serves a very niche market, and those buyers usually are confortable making small configuration changes... they could at least do something about that Windows key :/
Like... a small customizable OLED screen on the key, so we could change it to something else (Tux?).
