    Tough to deliver DX12 tools that offer anything special at high performance when you have no hardware level async support. :^)

    I guess they need to use custom data sets to manage DX12 support, seeing as to use as they are designed to operate with all the hardware/API required(from the OS Reqs.) makes them fall flat on face cause well, they cannot, i.e data hax/implementation to "trick" the data and user into thinking they are running same spec faster, when they very much are not.

    Hell even for Vulkan they cannot use all the bells and whistles, when the hardware required to do so, is not there LOL, Nv must hate AMD for Mantle and forcing MSFT to combat it via DX12 and OpenGL support through same to become Vulkan, guess Nv might like Vulkan a bit more, cause it does use Linux and they can custom compile things to make it run better for them and "emulate" certain things that are otherwise impossible for them to do, maybe if they had used all the same hardware/software and tuned it to be better then competition, then they could claim "best" but alas, you cannot claim to be the best if you cheat to win the race

    Just like Tessellation, make MSFT order it to be done in a different way when the official spec was released, forcing everyone else to to accommodate Nv instead of Nv building as others were, other makers were already doing Tessellation for many years prior(Namely their chief competitor AMD/Radeon they complained it would give others benefit at Nv detriment, instead they make others who put a great deal of time and money into its design suffer detrimental cost so Nv gains advantage with crafty Nv BS)

    Sux when Async among others actually needs proper parts and design to work as it should, then there is something like Multi-GPU, can be sure as hell Nv will and is doing everything in their power to prevent it. Nv "the way we play you"

    MSFT needs stop being a douche, and put their multi-billion dollar foot down, if you want to promote your products are DX12 supported/compliant, follow the checklist of what needs to be in the product, or it will be classified and documented as unsupported, that fancy 180w or less GPU having the required parts will then end up using the same if not more than competitions products in regards to power and heat output. Nv everything holds the industry and consumer back, period. nothing like proprietary garbage tricks to make "objects in computer are slower than they otherwise appear"

    Anyways am done, I just had to major LOL at the title and the implied meaning of it, a full library dedicated to trick the developer and us the consumer into products being something they are not LOL.

    I was about to write a comment about how I wish Nvidia would work together with AMD on open-standards for all feature sets and whatnot, but I then realised that in many ways that's what Vulkan is for.

    In any case, I'm glad Nvidia is providing more software tools.
