More like a new revision

Not too happy, AMD may have gotten some traction with their CPUs, but their GPUs are starting to fall behind.
Vega needs to pack a punch when it comes out probably in June
Just out of interest will the 580 overclock even higher? or is there no point to the refresh if you can already overclock the 480 to 580 levels.
Makes sense, they've said Vega cards will actually be branded as Vega.
I'll reserve any kind of judgement until we get some real news and not base it on unsubstantiated rumours.
Could have at least made the 570 be the refreshed 480 and put a little extra into the 580. Really disappointed that there are no physical hardware improvements to it.
New low end silicon! That's unexpected
Perhaps so, but that's easy to do when the launch brings almost nothing new to the table. Unless they're test running some sort of Vega features out on these (highly doubt it) then the low end chip is the only interesting thing here. I would not be surprised to hear that this chip is the only reason the series is being launched - as a partner GPU for Ryzen buyers who don't want to spend RX460 amounts of money.

My 480 already runs at the new 580 speed... Still not upset with the purchase. Flies at 1080p...
