I like the idea of being able to play PS exclusives on PC, the issue I have is that 12.99 a month seems excessive for a streaming service and I think the difficulty they have is that it can't be priced in line with movie streaming services as games cost a lot more. £50 yearly subscription would have me straight on it, but that wouldn't be viable for them as a business. Rock and a hard place springs to mind.
They should look into actually improving the service. The amount of input lag actually makes games unplayable. It's a mess.
well think about it though... it still remain as a PS Exclusive titles... to play it, you require to buy a PS4 and the Game, the PS4 Pro in UK is roughly 350GBP ? and u say a game is around 50GBP? thats about 400 in total. for the console and ONE game. in essence... you would have to decide... either spend 400 in one go. or div in 30 months (12.99 / 400 = 30). so technically if u subscribe, in 30months you technically bought a PS4 Pro and 1 Game... question now is, which is affordable for you
This is good news..there are very, very few PS4 exclusives that I want to play (mostly the Drake games) but I have zero interest in actually buying a PS4. Sounds like a win win for me personally - sub for a month, finish a game and then come back at a later date.
Worth keeping an eye on this
The difference is when you buy a ps4 and games, you get to keep them forever or re-sell them when you are done, or at least not have to pay again if you want to go back and play them later on in life. If spreading the cost is more affordable to somebody, they would be better off getting a finance option for a similar monthly price which they would then be able to keep at the end of the agreement.well think about it though... it still remain as a PS Exclusive titles... to play it, you require to buy a PS4 and the Game, the PS4 Pro in UK is roughly 350GBP ? and u say a game is around 50GBP? thats about 400 in total. for the console and ONE game. in essence... you would have to decide... either spend 400 in one go. or div in 30 months (12.99 / 400 = 30). so technically if u subscribe, in 30months you technically bought a PS4 Pro and 1 Game... question now is, which is affordable for you
i really like this idea, Same as spud1, I want to play 'some' PS4 games without owning a PS4, i dont care much for Sony's Eco system itself I just want to be able to play PS4 games on my PC when i want, quick and easy. £12.99 is'nt all that bad to play a few top quality games for a few months.
If ALL PS4 peripherals (i.e. wheels) work and the graphics are PS4 Pro quality, I may be interested..

The idea of playing P.S. games at PC is good, especially for titles such as "the Last of us" etc but still to buy the game and then pay each month an amount of money for the "online" service is a laughing stock.
I'd rather they spent the time actually making the games native for PC instead of being PS4 exclusives (heck even with a 6-12 month launch delay I'd be fine with). With the terrible internet infrastructure the UK is saddled with currently, I highly doubt most peoples connections speeds would cope with a service like this.
Like Spud and Jace I'm interested in a couple of PS4 games (Uncharteds and maybe Last of Us), but those games alone don't justify spending onver £200 just for a console plus extra for the games. In the absence of them going to PC or even a Sony provided emulator (which I would pay for, so long as it was reasonably priced), this seems like a pretty good option if your connection can handle it.
What are the chances of Nintendo doing this so I can play the one game from their line up I actually fancy playing (Zelda BOTW)
I'd definitely consider subscribing for a month just to play The Last Guardian. I was having problems justifying the price of a PS4 to play it, and (as someone who owns a PS3) I'm not keen on buying a console that makes you pay for online play either.
