Seems like an awful lot of money, especially as this is more expensive than a 2x16GB set.

Something I'd be much more interested in from a revolutionary standpoint is fast (2800MHz+ DDR4) ECC RAM.

I haven't seen any in the shops, but since many/most desktop Ryzen motherboards and Ryzen itself support ECC it would be interesting to see if memory manufacturers start offering this. It would make it easier to use these speeds for professional purposes in home/small business scenarios; after all, fast ECC RAM is presumably at least as reliable as JEDEC standard non-ECC RAM (which is what a lot of professional work is done on).

But it has LIGHTS! Lights make the RAM faster and if those light colour-coordinate with the rest of your lighting, you get super turbo mode!

Oh come on, everybody knows that if you want to speed something up you add go faster stripes, not lights.

I shaved a go faster stripe on to my mother's cats and you should see how fast they run now.

They do look good and would complement my build nicely, but like hell am I going to pay that much to replace my current RAM just for a bit of extra RGB.

    Overclocking

We've chosen three arbitrary speeds and timings in order to evaluate the overclocking potential of the modules. Voltage was increased to 1.35V.
Hexus, as the modules are rated at 1.35v standard does that mean that you didn't increase the voltage when trying to overclock them or did you run all the tests at a voltage below this value @ stock speeds?

Or at least how fast they run when you approach them.

Wait did you say 30% ? That's a 90 quid premium for..lights. You'd have to be tapped in the head

    Re: Corsair Vengeance RGB 32GB DDR4-3000 (CMR32GX4M4C3000C15)

That's crazy money. Can't believe how much memory has gone up - a year ago I bought 2x8GB G.Skill Trident Z 3000MHz DDR4 for something like 75 quid and thought this Corsair price must be a joke. Just checked and the same memory from the same supplier is now 135 quid. So glad I did my build last year.

On the RGB subject, its not my bag at all and I would never buy something with it if I can get the same without but each to their own I guess. Given I have a Fractal R5 Blackout, RGB bits and pieces are a bit wasted for me!!
