Aside from adding RGB, are companies really just making the same old things, here?
All these new keyboards that look the same, all these mice with 4 buttons and a 5-way scroll... does having 16,000 dpi over 15,995 dpi really make that much difference?
Think James Donkey did this first with the 007 model
i wish more companies provided the accessory i NEED the most on a mouse, a pinky ledge
Seems good but I prefer the Scimitar as the extra buttons really make it easy to use on games like League of Legends
Do agree innovation seems to have wandered off a cliff somewhere. I guess there's little further we can generally take the mouse (I have some plans, mind). But RGB everything or improve the sensors/buttons - I don't really see much else we can do with it that wouldn't get gimmicky REAL quick.
MOAR BUTTONZ!!!!!
But seriously.... Roccat have done exceedingly well at innovating things with their peripherals. More than once, I've seen something 'new and innovative' announced here and thought, "Didn't Roccat do one just like this a couple of years ago?".
To this day, I'm still considering getting a Tyon, Leadr, Nyth or even the new design of Kova 2016... They are fantastic designs, right up my line of aesthetic and everything.... just not quiiiiiiiiiiiite enough to have me buying one.... yet. I still have a Kova [+] that I use at work.
The Aorus Thunder M7 mouse was also a step in the right direction, IMO.
Right now, I think the best thing would be to combine all the existing good features into one mouse, or set of mice, and just make them better... certainly better than generic looking versions of everyone elses' generic 2-button mice, just with different badges on.
Interesting read.
Just received one of these to review, so we'll see how it pans out. Seems great so far!
