8.3 months at 24hours a day, extends to 6 years at the more reasonable 4 hours a day. I'd be OK with that (6 years seems about right for TV upgrades anyway..but then again it'd be a lottery win before I spend 10k on a TV)
Yeah, if you're prepared to drop £10k on the projector I can't imagine another £500 on a spare bulb is going to be too troubling...
Burning a 'whole'? Really Hexus? Friday afternoon is no excuse for that.
OMG, it's so big!495.6mm x 195.3mm x 463.6mm

Although I'd not get a projector myself for home use I do use them lots at gigs to project either the bands image/vids or the better half uses Arkaos to mix video. Brightness is always the enemy though so I'd like to see reviews of more humble projectors please!

Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
The cost is so much that you could get a brand new 55" TV every year for the next dozen years, so unless you are super super rich and have money to burn, it makes no economical sense whatsoever. I wouldn't even want to splash out on a single 55" TV, due to the cost, so a £10k projector is in a completely different league altogether. I understand you'd get a much bigger image if it is projected on a wall, but then you'd have to sit even further away to appreciate it, which leads to the question: 'Why bother?'
To those saying they could get XX number of 55" TVs for this - yes maybe you could but then you still only have a puny little 55" display for life.
After I got used to watching movies and everything else on a 4 metre screen I can never watch them on a tiny TV screen again no matter how many gimmicks manufacturers come up with to make you think the picture is somehow better.
Anyway if I had lottery money I might consider this model, but you can get 90% of the functionality for less than €3K with the lower models (only thing missing is 4k which you don't need for 99% of stuff and lower quality manual lens). But of course with lottery money I would be going for this models bigger brothers the 1100ES or 5000ES and that's about €50k - if you think this one is big...
