Feels like the vast majority of prebuilt systems with AMD CPUs get AMD GPUs by default. I suppose the RX 570 is still a decent choice at this price point but I hope they don't replicate it when building higher tier systems (at least until Vega is relevant, if it ever is).

Don't we have a confirmed "launch" date for RX Vega sometime in July? Not sure when they'll actually get to channel mind you, but I suspect a few OEMs will be waiting for the opportunity to push out Threadripper + Vega machines in August/September...

In the meantime Ryzen 5 + RX 570/580 is a reasonable choice - Personally I'd've gone for the 580 with a 6-core Ryzen 5, but I suppose if you're balancing budget you have to make tricky choices.

Well, last I checked only Frontier Edition will be available at SIGGRAPH, which is like saying Firepro will be available. I don't know if there is any solid date on consumer Vega yet.

Me too, but there aren't any RX580s to be found right now. Would be a risky decision.

The release date for the dell threadripper systems is claimed to be early september, so with vega graphics cards getting announced in late july vega should be available before threadripper hits retail
