I am really interested in these, I wonder how many vendors take them on as part of their enterprise line up. I would really like Ryzen Pro Laptops as part of the next hardware refresh!
So now we know the clockspeeds of the Ryzen 3 CPUs.
Maybe it's me but why couldn't they have just done this with the normal versions.... this is just another sku they need to produce etc
doesn't look like it... retail has 36months and that graph shows 36months oem limited warranty.
It just seems a few additional security features (seems pretty close to intel tpm) and 'driver stability' from what I can see which imo wouldn't actually go a miss on consumer either.
I don't think I've ever seen an AMD PRO processor - or the predecessor "Business Class", come to that - for sale outside of a major system integrator's box.
They're a branding platform rather than distinct silicon - I don't think they even cost any more than the consumer processors of the same name/configuration. I'm pretty sure it's almost entirely a b2b relations exercise - which tbh I'm fine with, as AMD's b2b relations game has been all over the place for years now!
But yeah, this is just a rebranding for their old Business Class scheme. I'm not sure it's actually that significant, and I wouldn't be surprised if the benefits of it trickle down into the consumer platform...
But without on die graphics!!! AMD better be serious.
I wonder if these "Pro" versions are "validated" with/for ECC memory...
