I hope Quantum computers can come quickly to power users so that they can leave alone our GPUs, GPU is for graphics not mining.
Actually i am very happy that GPU are used for mining. The PC market is declining (or at least is loosing significance compared to mobile and aio devices), however now when cryptocurrency joins to the market customers, it should increase production volumes, which in return should help to keep prices low for us PC enthusiasts/users.
So more of this please!
People in cold countries should be able to buy a unit that plugs into your ethernet and power and heats your home while making you money. That would be a good business. You're welcome.
Like this you mean?

gamers nexus did article on this, GPU vendors actually do not like bitcoin mining because the regular miner will buy few high end cards and rma them back after few months and then resell them... Basically abusing their rma system. The vendors will make quick buck now but down the line it means there will be cheap 2nd hand high end cards on market which will take away sales from them.
2nd thing they touched on was brand loyalty. Where normal user could be loyal to one brand for all its life, that is not the case with miners, since they only get card that has the desired hashrate/power working envelope and not care about what brand it is.
What a waste. Sure, if they had a functioning cold fusion device, no problem. This rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbish is just another iteration of pure human greed and stupidity.
