Look forward to that one.

Excellent news! Didn't see that one coming, to be honest. Can't wait
Damn, 20 years?! I remember getting my first PC on Christmas 1997 then buying AOE a few days later. I put so many hours into that game.
Providing they get a decent reception. These will be both be taking my money.
AoE4, get in ma belleh (PC)!
Lets see if AoE4 follow AoE3 or AoE2, if its anything like AoE3 I won't buy, that game sucked ass.
Yep, I still play the HD version of AoE2 on Steam occasionally. I own AoE3 but never really got into it even when it was new. Concentrated too much on graphical enhancements than gameplay.
They should concentrate on perfecting the sandbox and gameplay factors, along with the best online experience they can create. Fancy graphics is something AoE just doesn't need.
I'd be interested if they can create a nice interface for people to create their own modern AI as well. It may be largely for the AlphaGo/Google lot at the moment but in 10 - 20 years time imagine being able to design and train your own deep learning AI and compete with others. Or if they become more powerful and start beating humans use them to discover strategies you wouldn't have thought of otherwise.
MS, Relic, you got my attention
Well, you may call me Mr Intrigued.
Grab that. Get that. Check it out. Bring that here. Grab anything useful. Take anything good.
I've been asking for this ever since I finished the 3rd and yes the wait is finally worth it.
Great to hear, we need this genre to come alive again. there is so much opportunity for companies to fill this gap.
As long as Relic don't try to do to it what they did to DoW3 should be good
DRM free at gog and I'm in (for the 1+2 remasters, maybe for AOE4) This is NOT negotiable. Steam is against my religion Also as mentioned before, if AOE4 is like AOE3...ummm maybe when it's on gog for $3-5... Sorry, just too many games out there I already can't keep up with, so the bar is pretty high for fun factor at least. I don't care much about graphics as most of what comes out today is ok to me. I'm good with grimrock etc types, torchlights (even lesser indie types in some cases), etc all look good enough for me if the FUN is there. Fun/Gameplay first, graphics are far behind for me. Is it strange that I'm more interested in the remaster of 1+2 than the new AOE4? LOL.
We already have AOE2 HD, so not sure what changes will be made to that one. But again, get it on GOG.com if you ever want me to buy them.
