"Oh a Razer pad, I bet it's £100 or something stupid like that"

The recommended pricing is US $159.99 / EU €179.99
...Once again, I underestimate Razer...Christ on a bike.

The part at the bottom of the controller relating to the voice chat completely ruins it for me.

    my thoughts exactly!

£150 for a game pad, no chance!

I was one of the people that bought an xbox one elite controller for my PC, whilst expensive, you really can feel the difference in quality and comfort. I would never go back to a standard one now, I recently bought the new uncharted game for my ps4 and picking up a different pad for the first time in about a year felt horrific!

I'm still using 3rd party drivers with my Dualshock 3, you can get them for under £10 now ;-)

Geezus. You don't have to add half the keyboard buttons to a controller to make it successful, guys. People who need that many buttons just use a keyboard. Games that need controllers, or at least work well with controllers, don't need that many because they're made specifically to work with a reduced button set, or don't need that many controls.

I'll stick with using my USB Xbox360 (Maybe it was an Xbone controller... who cares, it's 'an xbox controller'. controller for every game I want to casual game with because they all support the standard buttons of a normal controller. Oh, and I bought it new locally for $30!

It isn't simply adding in more, but offering more positioning options for the buttons you have. Much like how someone might rebind keyboard controls.
Keyboards just have a lot more options in that regard, and have also done the same on those with dedicated macro keys.

Yeah the idea is that you can simultaneously press a "squeeze" button, a trigger and use the analogue sticks, rather than having to change your grip to press buttons.

Perfectly said. People use the standard pads because they have it all there in an easy to control environment. Anything more complicated and you lose the easiness of the pad and might as well revert to the KB&M which offers more finesse anyway

Re: Razer Wolverine Ultimate controller for Xbox One and PC

Guess I'll change back to a regular XBox controller or a chaper 3rd party gamepads once my Sabertooth broke down.
    Is chroma really that necessary?
