I agree cheating is cheating, ban them outright.
I wouldn't call stream sniping "cheating", if someone is publicly broadcasting their gameplay then they should know that they are at a disadvantage and not moan about it.
I really need to get this, soon as it's out of EA, or goes on sale I'll jump in.
Still loving the simplicity and charm of this game.
Me too..and its so addictive - I bought it at the start of August and racked up 97 hours in it so far. I struggle to pick out exactly what makes it so much fun - but well..it is I think a lot of it is the sheer variety of play each day. Every game is different - and I think that keeps things interesting. Eventually i'm sure i'll tire of the current map, but we know more are coming so its not a long term issue.
I personally play a mixture of Solo and team games (me + 3 randoms) which keeps things interesting too. Only got 4 wins so far (1 solo, 3 team) but tbh getting to the final circle and winning isn't the big draw. I enjoy the rest of the game much more I hope it continues to grow from strength to strength, its easily my favourite multiplayer game of the year so far.
I might buy it when its released at some point.
I have been looking at getting involved with this, but have just seen a long raft of complaints about people being banned unfairly. Has anyone here had experience of this? Reading the reviews on Steam -people are being banned by being accused of Stream Sniping without any proper evidence. Surely it is not that much of a problem?
It's not a widespread problem. There have been one or two isolated cases that have been publicised, but even then there is questionable evidence that bluehole have banned anyone unfairly. TBH I am glad they DO actually ban people - if you report people intentionally team killing, or "teaming" in solo and provide video evidence, then they do take action..which is great! Video evidence is really easy as they have integrated with Nvidia shadowplay so once setup, every kill/death is recorded automatically. Makes it easy to report when/if it happens to you.
In a game like this with so many concurrent players, it would be incredibly difficult to stream snipe anyway. You don't see enemy player's names above their heads (so can't clearly identify who is who), can't join a specific server..I just don't think it's really a problem.
The biggest feature the game needs to help with the moaners out there (who get very upset when they are killed without seeing the killer - starting to blame stream sniping/hacks/whatever) would be a replay or delayed killcam system. it's been promised so should show up eventually...
Either way it's a lot of fun to play and well worth a buy.

still not got into this yet - looks a bit like an action STALKER - my kind of game. Will have to get into it so I can join in this winter
