    Re: Gigabyte Aero 15X

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that's probably the best looking gaming laptop I've seen ever. Superb battery life and excellent performance to boot. If I were looking to splash £2k on a laptop right now thais would probably be top of my list.

I can't see how people would expect a full fat 1070 or 1080 in a laptop like this... I think my 1070 card is actually bigger than this whole laptop!!!

    Re: Gigabyte Aero 15X

I think that's the first gaming laptop I've seen reviewed on Hexus that doesn't look repulsive.

A good performer, a sensible screen resolution, a matte screen and colour calibrated too! There's a lot right with this laptop and very little wrong.

    Thumbs up Gigabyte, thumbs up.

    Re: Gigabyte Aero 15X

Can someone explain to me why the battery life is only on-par with the Razer Blade? I was trying to decide between an Aero 14 and a Blade for a while and went for the Blade--and then a month later the Aero 15 came out, and I thought that would have been a no-brainer. But I expected the battery life to be quite a bit better with that big 99 battery.

    Re: Gigabyte Aero 15X

I don't get why they insist on squeezing a numpad into this thing. Completely ruins it for me - the ergonomics on numpad-equipped laptops are terrible. The half-baked effort to move the touchpad off-centre is also ... half-baked. Okay, it's not centred on the chassis (which would have placed it somewhere between the B and RShift keys, I guess), but it's not far enough off-centre to be right beneath the spacebar, so it'll still get in the way for typing! What the heck? Do all Gigabyte engineers have weird wrist deformities? If not for that, this would pretty much be the ideal laptop.

    Re: Gigabyte Aero 15X

Does this model also have keyboard issues like Areo 15? You cannot use shortcuts with ctrl and shift (e.g. very popular on linux ctrl+shift+c for copying or porn mode ctrl+shift+n in chrome won't work) because laptop doesn't register them correctly.
