must say i like the looks of the evo- not particularly expensive either, goes on my longlist deffo
I like the look, as well. I just wish the bigger one had space for a 360 rad on the top.
I like the concept of lifestyle cases, and of extensive use of glass which, as a material, I rate highly.
However, these designs are the antithesis of what, to me are "lifestyle" designs. What I want is something that, while functional, almost doubles as a piece of furniture, an artwork, even a storage case, etc. But most emphatically NOT with the gubbins of a PC on show. So, make these or something similar out of coloured (pastel) and emphatically opaque glass, and I'm interested.
What I want is something that looks great, in it's own right, yet masks the fact that it'sca PC case. But for clear glass (or perspex) I don't even want a case window, let alone a transparent case.
Oh, and I'm referring to a PC for use in my home living areas. For office use, simple metal is fine provided it's well-made .... i.e. easy access, tool-less and no sharp edges. Beyond that, I don't much care what it looks like, provided there's no Tonka-style plastic bits. Just something plain, functional and that works well.
Glass, breakable, off my list and looking elsewhere.
Really not a fan of this current case fashion-trend... and it looks like some art student got let into the architect's office by mistake, again.
It is tempered, so yeah, breakable, but not easily and pretty safe if you do.
Being glass doesn't deter me, but being transpsrent does.
I like the two closed ones, but glancing at the pics and specs I don't see anything in the way of dust filters. That's a big no-no. The fans are on display there, and slapping some on would take away from the aesthetics...which is kinda the point of the cases. Unless they're just so fine or well-hidden that I can't see them.
