Wanting to slate it, but actually seems like a good service if you are in the FB ecosystem and it gets integrated well with the app.
I wonder how much protection they offer once the buy/sell groups inevitably start hammering it and there is a dispute.
I'll stick to PayPal thanks If it ain't broke....
Given the sheer number of scams that operate through facebook, and bots/fake users on their messenger service, you can bet that it will be a popular tool for fraudsters
I will stick with paypal aside from scams in facebook etc, Paypal takes a few mins-hours to transfer money to my bank, rather than the 1-3 days of this system.
tbh, I can log on to internet banking and transfer someone the money faster than 1 - 3 days. In fact, that's how I make the vast majority of person to person payments nowadays. Paypal only gets used for ebay, big fish games, and people who absolutely refuse to give me their bank details...
If everyone gets Monzo, we can just use Monzo.me instead
"Paypal takes a few mins-hours to transfer money to my bank, rather than the 1-3 days of this system."
And that's the real cost right there - time...
How does Facebook make money on this? (And it does) - through the interest on all the transactions held for the 1-3 days before settlement.
