I find it frustrating that the datacentre is getting larger and larger SSD's while the technology just isn't trickling down to the retail market.
We're getting faster drives, at least, but sub-128GB SSDs are still common and 1TB SSDs are still a bit of a luxury.

That amount of storage just requires more physical space.
However there isn't as I see a reason why it couldn't be in a 2-slot PCI-E version.
Unless that is to follow later, with this being for compatibility.
Is the nearest competing product actually similar.
