AMD shares Radeon RX 500X Series GPU specifications

Unfortunately the 'X' suffix adds nothing new, these are merely OEM rebrands.

Hopefully it's a sign that there will be some more stock on the shelves for the non-X versions, I would have bought a 570 or 580 had they been available at RRP - almost jumped for some on the ones mentioned on the forum at good prices but resisted at the time and regretted it.

I guess they've just re-evaluated the binning to get the new tiers and a slightly better boost speed - the difference between a lower 550X and a 540X does seems a bit silly though!

I've given up waiting for a good £200-ish deal. It isn't going to happen for years, if at all.

I've just bought a second hand 1070 for £320. Seems the best, future proof, deal around (for 1440 gaming and Adobe) at the moment.

I'm not 100% happy about it but don't feel like I've much choice.

Sad but true. I noticed on Overclockers one of the Vega 56 cards dropped to £530 (still more than a 1080) for a couple of days but has now gone back up to £550.

    I am starting to despair.

Yeah it's crazy. 2 year old stuff at twice launch price is pretty common. My "work" pc needs a newer gfx card as running a 5850 and opencl isn't working correctly so want to jump to a 7000 or later card. £80 s/hand for something pretty ordinary!
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
