I once had a motorcycle which had a dummy exhaust. It was utterly stupid. The bike itself was awful and sluggish (to the point where I, a very conservative rider, blew up the engine trying to make it go) and this just added weight for zero functional improvement. It's the same here. It's marketing for people who care more about appearance than performance. Some people build machines for the look and, if you don't get that with PCs, just look at an old steam engine or old tools that are beautifully crafted and you get the picture. I bought me a solid forged steel axe with a leather handle just because it was so amazingly crafted.

I can see why some people would want their RAM slots all full of flashy stuff and whilst it's not for me, they've gone and made RAM so damned expensive that now they can actually make money off dummy RAM. Insane.

Some like their headphones not to sound like tin cans, and some like it look like Christmas tree. To each his own, I can defo see the use scenario if you already are the kind of person who wants RGB lights on ram.

Most vaping mods have a 30 day warranty (some doing 90 now), which is just how long the manufacturer certifies the device will be free of defects.
I expect the 6-month entitlement in your consumer rights will still apply, though...

People flock from miles around, other countries even, just to look at our old pumping stations. They're brick buildings, nothing more, but so beautifully crafted with such amazing designs in the Victorian brickwork, that they attract huge crowds. Same for some of our sewers.

Not in EU. Apart from wearable components, like batteries and consumables, everything has 2 year warranty. I don't see any wearables or consumables on the dummy sticks so thats a 2 year warranty in EU, no way around it.

Except in the UK, where that directive was only partially adopted, and is trumped by the Consumer Rights Act because that affords greater legal rights than the EU directive.

There is nothing in UK legislation to say anyone must provide a warranty of any sort for the goods they sell. Any warranty they do provide is in additon to your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act.
