Early GeekBench score has it as the fastest phone around, thanks to overclocked SD845.

    That's worthy of a screenshot.

For example, GSM Arena asks if the tester enabled 'X Mode' where the four slower cores of the SD845 are disabled and the four faster cores can run at an improved minimum speed.
Shouldn't the power management do that sort of thing automatically if needed? I thought the whole point of 8-core mobiles was that they were very good at turning off excess capacity

Well my razor phone lasts all day, possibly two or more, infact it's been a few generations since phones ran out after an hour, still using a 1st gen iPhone are we?

Interestingly the razor is missing from the gaming phone comparison, seeing as the Asus rog is only the second ever gaming phone it seems odd not to compare.

The GPU performance on that Asus phone is bonkers though, I would be surprised if it can do that sustained even with the air-cooling.
That said with the additional cooling it should be able to hold its performance a lot longer than standard phones.

the scores are probably too close for comfort i expect, but yeah is rather strange.
strikes me that if the rog had completely outclassed the razer then asus would making a big big deal of it.
