So RTX and raytracing are going to become the new buzzwords like nano and quantum??

i remember doing ray-tracing on my amiga- could take like two days to render one frame [until i got my 68040- then it would only take a day-and-a-half].
so its taken thirty years to get to this point, and we`re still talking about rendering single frames.
oh, and you have to buy a new card of course.
grief- life`s too short- i think i can get by without it thanks, but buzzword absolutely.
anything to make us part with more cash.

Good old Amiga huh. Agnes, Denise and Paula
Oh and an 8mhz 68000
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
To be fair it can still take 2 days to render one frame with ray tracing active if the resolution and number of rays is high enough lol
To be honest, when I see that image up top and it says 'photo-realistic capture' I just facepalmed because that is so unrealistic it's like me trying to copy a picasso with crayons...
I found it funny when that Reddit post blew up. Tomb Raider with ray tracing at 30fps. "Noooooo, it's so bad, etc"
The fact it can do it at all is astounding. 30 FPS is amazing, and playable!!
