Currently typing this on the previous VA model, I wish this was the model when I bought a year ago but its not enough to tempt me to sell and buy.

How can anyone sell a monitor without a VESA mount?

A 4K version for £299 would sell well imo.. maybe in the months to come.

    Re: Aoc q3279vwfd8

I've got the previous model and I was very happy with it for £200. It's not going to break any performance records and the lack of vesa mounts is a bit odd (though I have no particular use for them, so no loss to me), but it's a great monitor for the price.

Looking for a monitor myself and I never thought it would be so difficult to find a 32in, 1440p, 120Hz+ panel that isn't curved.

To hit the £200 price point I guess. There'll probably be another version coming out with a VESA mount and a more sophisticated stand.

I feel your pain. One that might suit you and I: https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-32...gaming-monitor

Only seems to be in the US at the moment. It's big brother is a Scan exclusive: https://www.scan.co.uk/products/315-...1-400cd-m-vesa

There is a more expensive G-sync version too: https://www.lg.com/uk/monitors/lg-32GK850G

    Re: Aoc q3279vwfd8

I recently purchased this monitor and think it hits a lot of the right buttons for the price. Like the Hexus review sample I do have a lot of back light bleed / IPS glow on the bottom left of the panel however unlike Hexus I can't say this doesn't distract from my overall experience of the monitor as it quite clearly shows up in games and movies (darker scenes) so is not really acceptable in terms of quality. I have contacted AOC for their advice and they have so far only asked what type of connector I am using and haven't got back to me after I told them it was Displayport. I am in the process of swapping out this monitor with another one in the hope that I can get one with acceptable levels of BLB / IPS glow which I accept is inevitable with this technology. If you're looking at purchasing this monitor based on its specs and price I would say give it a go but make sure you order from somewhere that has a sympathetic returns / replacement policy and for the price don't expect perfection.

    Re: Aoc q3279vwfd8

Too big for the resolution. Bring it down to 25-26" so the PPI is tighter and the monitor fits on a standard desk next to another monitor. Toss in standard G-Sync as well and ditch AMDs entirely unused FreeSync tech.

Had bunk luck finding a <30" monitor with a resolution equal to or exceeding 1920x1200 of my current 24" monitor. Even worse luck finding a monitor that didn't have a slew of negative reviews relating to poor colour reproduction on 1-3ms TN panels (there's a reason we stopped using TN for more than 2 decades!), stuck pixels, lines, compatibility issues, stuttering during gaming on 144Hz panels, etc... the list goes on. Seems very hit or miss to find a good performance monitor that's going to be reliable, affordable and accurate. Unless you're willing to spend 600-1000 on a monitor.

Just bought an AOC Q3279VWFD8 to replace my AOC U2868PQU, it just died after 5 years. My budget limit was 200€ and it's a bargain for what it has to offer for that price - I'm very pleased.
