Intel Ghost Canyon NUC with PCIe x16 slot pictured

This 5 litre PC system is expected to have a 45W Coffee Lake HR processor at its heart.

Comet and Coffee Lake are both 14nm which kinda implies all these parts will be the same...?

That'd mean Intel planning out new 14nm chips into 2020.

That 8c/16t i9 part clocked down to 45W seems like a waste of silicon.

Why? You can get a lot done with a 45W part as long as it is actually allowed to sustain 45W which this probably would be. Doubling the TDP does not make a device twice as fast.

If they had a pair of displayport outputs and ECC ram that would make a nice work machine.

5ltr is not exactly small. Think how big a 5ltr can of oil or paint is.

Not a NUC at all ..just a compact tower ripping from the loque ghost s4 mini dan case Koolink rocket to name just a few. By 2020 I might be interested ,but I doubt it, what with the Pound being 1.7 to the dollar

    See shuttle xh110g for comparison
    <a href="https://hexus.net/tech/news/systems/109180-shuttle-xh110g-sff-barebones-room-single-slot-gpu/">https://hexus.net/tech/news/systems/109180-shuttle-xh110g-sff-barebones-room-single-slot-gpu/</a>

More than 1 way to fit the GPU card in.
