War of Rights!
Reason: actual teamwork between strangers in an fps.
Battlefield V is probably the best of 2018. That's saying something because that game isn't good either.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance most engrossing game. Was pleased to play melee game that requires a lot of skill.
I have only played two 2018 games and only purchased one.
I am really enjoying hitman 2.
The game that's sucked me in the most this year has been BattleTech, with over 400 hours so far
The last "game" I purchased recently was the XCOM 2 War of the Chosen expansion. That was 2017. As to the best game of 2018? Nothing released this year has actually enticed me enough to pay full price, that's next year....
Really enjoying Parkitect at the minute but Subnautica overall for me.
A beautiful game about exploration and proof that you can have a survival game with a good plot, not to mention minimal weaponry.
EDIT: Subnautica is being given away free if you don't mind using the epic games store to further dent valves monopoly on indie titles. I heartily recommend it (the game, no idea what the store is like!)

I can't stop playing Forza Horizon 4, much as I also love various indie titles.
I'm rather enjoying Skyrim...
And COD MW2.
And COD WW2 on occasion.
Hollow knight, I know it was released last year but the final free dlc was released this year and boy oh boy is it a good game.
7 Billion Humans was also good
Fallout 76
For real though, God of War was incredible, and deserving of its GOTY award.
Also, I've probably put the most hours into Dead Cells, which I've been playing since early Access and it only got better and better
The only new game I bought this year was The Karters and the less said about that, the better.
