I look at that and think "Weeeel, that's only a bit bigger than my 27" but I think I need to draw a line somewhere.
Wow, 8ms GtG is quite high, the display may present severe ghosting...
I'll wait for some review, the price is interesting to me considering this has vesa mount compared with the AOC Q3279VWFD8 that doens't.
PS: I read on the LG web site that the 8ms is (GtG at Faster) so it can be even worst!

Built-in cheat modes seem to be common amongst gaming monitors nowadays. Does no-one object? Good price though...

LG claim $350
that makes it somewhat less interesting

I think for the average Joe that 8ms is more than enough. I've never been able to see ghosting below 12ms and even then I was really having to look for it. I think screen tearing is far more of an issue and I get more "wow factor" from decent colours and contrast. I've sacrificed, along with viewing angles, this for response time in the past and the result was an absolutely devastatingly poor monitor. If you've got the cash to pay to mitigate the downsides of pushing for GtG times and you're an amazing enough gamer to benefit from it, fine. Most of us just won't benefit from it in my experience.... or I won't.
I'll give $600 to a 16:10 Gsync version Won't be buying 1440p until I'm forced into a corner by my dell dying, and even then I'll probably just buy a 30in dell 16:10 for $1050 or so (current price or so) with neither freesync or gsync, as 16:10 is more important to me these days. I haven't used either yet (daily at home), though seen it and would love it, I'll pass if forced due to 16:9. I just can't work with wide at home. Only good for spreadsheets IMHO at work.
"Crosshair mode", huh? Sounds like another scammy soon to be banned gimmick like Asus wallhacks from back in the early 2000s. Asus advantage! Sure... especially when you can see the multiplayer games in wireframe mode.
