Not until they finally figure out how to implement and market it in stylish ways, rather than garish ones with lit logos and leaving it stuck in rainbow pattern Demo mode....

Seriously, why don't they just hire me for their design department?

An RGB desk, because we all needed that in our life. Why?

    I have an RGBenis.

It emits light in an indeterminate quantum state for 30 seconds. Then it gets tired and falls asleep.

This is only going to get worse/better - Corsair is showing off their new RGB system, which is basically like an LED display...

Well, you can't just have an RGB cover with no discernible practical function, can you? That'd be like having dummy RGB RAM sticks without the actual RAM...

er, because of your pathological hatred of tempered glass, tt.
no point having all the rgb if you can`t see it..

..mind you, i don`t recall seeing rgb on an optical drive- and we know you do like those- so there may be hope for you yet!

I have had several cases with perfectly transparent perspex (including one I modded in myself), with the added advantages that it's both cheap & easy to replace, and hard to shatter into lots of tiny paw/foot-shredding splinters.
Even my current Phanteks uses plastic instead of glass!

Popped the faceplate off, cut a letterbox slot, wired up and installed a Larson scanner in the gap, fitted a diffused bit of red plastic over the slot, wired it into the Molex 4-pin at the back of the drive.

My PC front panel now has a red LED line that swishes back and forth like a Cylon!
